Final Fantasy Core
There are eight types of energy in Final Fantasy Core that players and creatures can either be resistant or vulnerable to. These types of energy mostly mirror the types of spells and magical schools in the world of Septerra, but there are other types of magic that fall outside these energy categorizations.
Elements do an additional two shifts of effect when attacking their oppostional element, and a minus two shifts when attackng themselves. Example: Fire does + 2 shifts of effect when attacking water, and – 2 shifts when fire attacks fire.
